How do you Retreat?
You may be planning to come to the ACGR 2021 and are ready to retreat. But you may be asking yourself, "How do I prepare for the retreat?"
Retreating is not a vacation. Vacations vary from doing absolutely nothing to going about so much that you need rest afterwards. But a retreat is much different. It is a time set aside to renew your heart, refresh your spirit and regroup or evaluate your own life, some of what you may counsel your care receiver to do.
Well, here are some important things to remember as you get ready to reflect, refresh and renew so that you can recreate your mind towards the important task that you do each day.
You may want to dress up in something that shows you as out of this world like a superhero or an alien or angel. You may have a better idea of a costume that shows that caregivers are Out of this World.
You may already know that we will be meeting this year at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan, Ga. Dunaway Gardens is a beautiful landscape of manicured gardens in the far corner of Newnan. You will connect with nature and others as they reflect upon their lives and their calling.
Everyone should remember to bring something to sit on while in the gardens, the ground will be moist and this will help you be comfortable in nature.
Just for your information!
We are looking for the person who can illustrate in their costume, the way that care givers are Out of this World! How can you put this idea into words or a costume? Think about it.
I think it is always great to bring a friend. Most care givers have a little group they connect with for support in the field. This is important, so bring your little support circle and attend together.
You may ask any questions to my email or on this blog to prep for a great time.
We will see you on the 3rd of June at 9am.
